أنا فلسطيني ولدت في لبنان لوالدين لاجئين ،فأنا أيضاً مدعو لاجىء، نشأت في مخيم شاتيلا، وفي سن مبكر جداً بدأت التطوع في المراكز للأطفال والشباب في المخيم من أجل مساعدة زملائي الأطفال اللاجئين، وأيضا لمساعدة نفسي.

بالنسبة لي، الأطفال هم أمل الحياة، وأنا متحمس للأنشطة التي تدعم الإنتماء إلى المجموعة، الأرض، والقيم.
قبل ان أبدأ العمل مع جمعية جست تشايلدهود، عملت مع جمعية الحق في اللعب الدولية لبعض السنوات، حيث عملت على تطوير فكرة الإستفادة من الرياضة وبرامج اللعب لتحسين الصحة، وتطوير المهارات الحياتية وتعزيز السلام للأطفال والشباب والمجتمعات المحلية في بعض المناطق الأكثر حرماناً في العالم، مشروعنا في جست تشايلدهود حلم كبير بالنسبة لي على المستوي الشخصي والمهني، ليس بالنسبة لي فقط، بل هو أيضاً حلم لأطفال في المخيم، لأن الروضة لدينا هي تعزيز للتعليم وفقاً للإحتياجات الأطفال وهو أمر نادر في مجتمعنا، وهو ينعكس إيجابياً على الأطفال وأولياء أمورهم والمجتمع عموماً، حيث أننا نركز على اللعب والمهارات الحياتية الإجتماعية بوصفها أنشطه تعليمية نحن بأمس الحاجة إليها.

Ich bin ein im Libanon geborener Palästinenser und bin im Flüchtlingslager Shatila aufgewachsen. Sehr früh habe ich begonnen, ehrenamtlich in diversen Kinder- und Jugendzentren zu arbeiten, um den anderen Flüchtlingskindern zu helfen, aber auch mir selbst. Für mich sind Kinder die Hoffnungsträger und ich setze mich leidenschaftlich für alles ein, was das Zugehörigkeitsgefühl fördert: zu einer Gruppe, einem Land oder zu Prinzipien.

Bevor ich begonnen habe, für just.childhood zu arbeiten, habe ich einige Jahre für Right to Play International gearbeitet, wo ich die Idee, Sport und Spiel für die Verbesserung der Gesundheit und Entwicklung für Kinder in den benachteiligsten Gegenden der Welt, vertiefen und weiterentwickeln konnte. Unser Projekt ist ein großer persönlicher und auch beruflicher Traum. Und nicht nur für mich, sondern auch für die Kinder im Flüchtlingslager, da unser Ansatz der Erziehung auf den Bedürfnissen der Kinder beruht – etwas, was es in unserer Gesellschaft so kaum gibt.

I am a Palestinian born in Lebanon to refugee parents and therefore I am also called a refugee. I grew up in Shatila Camp and at a very young age started volunteering in children and youth centers in the camp in order to help my fellow refugee children, but also to help myself.
For me, children are the hope of life and I am passionate about activities that support belonging to a group, to a land, and to principles.
Before I started to work with just.childhood, I worked with Right to Play International for some years, where I professionalized and improved the idea to utilize sport and play programs to improve health, develop life skills, and foster peace for children, youth and thus communities in some of the most disadvantaged areas of the world. Our project just.childhood is a big dream for me on a personal and professional level. And not for me only, it is also a dream for the children of the camp, because our kindergarten is promoting learning according to the children`s needs, which is rare in our society. It reflects positively on the children, the parents, and the overall community, since we concentrate on play and life and social skills as educational activities that are desperately needed.
